We built UglyPDF because editing a PDF should not be this hard. You have a document you need to fix but the file won't let you change a word. You screenshot a receipt and now it's a dead image. Someone sends you a scanned contract and you end up retyping the whole thing. You Google "edit PDF online free" and every tool you find only lets you highlight or fill a form.
So we built something that actually works. Upload any file and it becomes fully editable. PDFs, scanned documents, photos, screenshots. Change the text, fix the layout, redesign the whole thing with an AI prompt or use the visual editor to adjust everything by hand like you would in Canva. You can also create new documents from scratch by describing what you need in plain English.
We called it UglyPDF because that's what we kept running into. Ugly PDFs everywhere. Proposals nobody wanted to open. Invoices that looked like they were made in 2005.
